Sports Conditioning and Dan's coaching credentials

Sports Conditioning is Personal Training for professional or top amateur athletes. Dan Roberts has trained numerous international athletes and professional sports people with impressive results. His expertise developed through three avenues, which are displayed in detail below. Firstly are his formal studies, as shown by his internationally prestigious qualifications. Secondly, his own eclectic personal sporting successes and thirdly, his varied, extensive and successful coaching experiences over the last 15+ years. Dan has a proven track record and is more than capable to get you conditioned for significantly improved performance in your given sport, be you a keen amateur or a full time international competitor.

Though he is proud to be a much better coach than athlete, Dan's varied competitive experiences have helped him to better empathise with his clients. His major sporting achievements so far are;
Thai Boxing: Lived as a Pro Fighter in Thailand.

Running: Competed in several ultra-marathons.

Lacrosse: Represented England, during the World Inter Championships in France, 1999.

Tennis: Beaten in competition a top 400 world ranked ATP Men's Tennis pro, Monticello, New York, 1998.

Coaching experience: 1994 - 2010

Dan has been working, learning and moving up the health & fitness and coaching industry since 1994. His love and talent for teaching others developed quickly and he was soon appointed as the Head Tennis Coach and Head Lacrosse Coach for both Kent University and Kings School in Canterbury. Also during this time, Dan spent two seasons, first as a Tennis, then as Lacrosse coach at Kutshers, voted the best live-in Elite Sports Academy in North America.

Whilst living in the Gold Coast, Australia (2001) he made the transition from coaching sports into coaching fitness and began his formal studies into psychology, biomechanics, physiology, exercise science, and nutrition. His career in fitness began by being a Personal Trainer to professional Australian sportsmen (primarily Triathletes and Tennis players).

After leaving Australia, Dan worked as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at an American Football Training facility in New York state.
On his return to the UK he worked for three years as a resident Sports & Exercise Specialist Trainer at LA Fitness health clubs, where he was also in charge of training the in-house fitness staff. In 2005, Dan left his affiliation with LA Fitness and set up 'Dan Roberts Training' and has since spent a considerable amount of his time personally training many different athletic clients, including professional or full time amateur athletes from such disciplines as Sprinting, Golf, Tennis, MMA, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Wake-boarding, Skiing, Lacrosse, Surfing, Rock Climbing, Sailing, Triathlon, Boxing, Surfing and Ballet.

In 2009, he set up BeachFitnessHolidays.com. These are personal fitness and nutrition bootcamp holidays. They are currently available in Miami, LA and Rio de Janerio and involve around 7 hours of personal training with Dan every day. Dan tailor makes each holiday.

After returning from three months of intensive fight training in Thailand earlier  this year, Dan was asked to be a Tutor and Assessor for a leading Fitness Education company. Be a Better You Training Ltd. Now, every couple of months Dan lectures, tutors and assesses (the UK industry standard) Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer qualifications.

In additional to his fitness experience, Dan has several psychologically based qualifications and hundreds of one to one coaching hours experience in Stress Reduction, NLP and Performance Life Coaching (with professional athletes and coaches being among his clients.) He is therefore in a rare position of being an expert in physical conditioning that can also assist in psychological conditioning. Both are essential to sporting success.
